PracticeLite vs Jane

A simpler, lower-cost alternative to Jane

Jane is a polished system built for busy multi-practitioner clinics. If you’re a solo practitioner or a small group, PracticeLite covers scheduling, intake, notes, payments and insurance billing for $19/month, and it’s free for up to 5 active clients.

PracticeLite or Jane?

Choose Jane if you run a busy clinic with several disciplines, treatment rooms or equipment to book, packages and memberships, or you want its AI scribe and group telehealth add-ons. Jane is well known for its booking experience and support, and it includes free data imports and an onboarding call.

Choose PracticeLite if you want the essentials at a lower price: free for up to 5 active clients, $19/month for unlimited clients, and $39/month plus $29 per extra practitioner for a group. Doulas get Medi-Cal and Kaiser billing with doula codes and the XP modifier checked before each claim goes out.

Can I move my clients from Jane to PracticeLite?

Yes. Export your patient list from Jane as a CSV, then upload it in PracticeLite under Data Import → Clients. Appointments, invoices, payments and notes can be imported from CSV too; if a file doesn’t upload cleanly, email it to info@practicelite.com and we’ll help map it.

Does PracticeLite do everything Jane does?

No. Jane has more scheduling depth (rooms, equipment, memberships), an AI scribe and group telehealth. PracticeLite focuses on what solo practitioners and small groups use every day, at a lower price, plus insurance billing that handles Medi-Cal doula rules.
