Build with PracticeLite

Help make healthcare work better for small practices.

PracticeLite is building an affordable, modern EHR for independent healthcare practices, with a growing opportunity to serve public-sector and government organizations. We are shaping our early team now and welcome expressions of interest from people who want to help build what comes next.

We’re building the pipeline, not announcing funded start dates.

These are early applicant opportunities. Hiring timing and compensation will depend on funding or revenue. If the mission and scope sound right, introduce yourself now; we’ll be transparent about timing as plans develop.

Founding GTM & Customer Success

Be PracticeLite’s first dedicated commercial teammate. Work directly with the founder to help small healthcare practices discover, adopt, and get lasting value from a simpler, more affordable EHR.

What you’ll do

  • Guide new practices through onboarding, training, and their first weeks on the product; listen closely and turn feedback into clear product priorities.
  • Build trusted customer relationships, provide thoughtful day-to-day support, and spot opportunities to improve retention and customer outcomes.
  • Support the founder-led sales motion through lead follow-up, prospect research, sales development, and product demos; grow into owning smaller sales conversations over time.
  • Keep the CRM and pipeline organized, document what is working, and help shape a repeatable early go-to-market process.
  • Develop customer stories and case studies that show the practical impact of PracticeLite for independent practices.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in customer success, onboarding, sales development, account management, or another customer-facing role; healthcare software experience is a plus.
  • Clear, warm communicator who can earn trust with busy clinicians and practice owners.
  • Organized and resourceful: comfortable creating structure while the playbook is still being written.
  • Curious about both the customer experience and the commercial details that help a small business grow.
  • Based in or excited to be based in San Francisco, and interested in close, in-person collaboration with the founder as the team takes shape.

A strong fit

You enjoy switching between helping one customer solve a real problem and improving the system so the next customer has an easier experience. You take ownership, follow through, and are motivated by building the first version of a function—not inheriting a finished playbook.

Why PracticeLite

You’ll work directly with the founder, take unusual ownership, and help shape the product and company while they are still early. PracticeLite aims to give small practices modern tools without the cost and complexity that often come with them—and to bring that practical approach to an expanding public-sector opportunity.

Compensation and timing

When the role is funded, our current planning range is approximately $95,000–$115,000 base salary, plus a modest performance bonus and meaningful early-stage equity. Final compensation and start timing will depend on funding or revenue, experience, and the scope of the role at that time.

Founding Full-Stack Engineer

Partner directly with the founder to make PracticeLite more capable, reliable, and delightful. This is a high-ownership product engineering role for someone who likes understanding the whole problem, shipping quickly, and helping decide what to build next.

What you’ll do

  • Design, build, and improve product experiences across our Next.js and React application, backend services, and database.
  • Shape pragmatic architecture and engineering practices as the product and team grow, balancing speed with maintainability and reliability.
  • Work across AWS infrastructure and integrations, diagnose production issues, and improve performance, observability, and operational resilience.
  • Contribute to our iOS experience and explore useful AI and voice workflows that reduce administrative work for healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with the founder and customers from discovery through delivery, taking features from rough idea to dependable production release.
  • Build with care for healthcare data: apply sound security and privacy practices and support a HIPAA-conscious product and operating environment.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong professional experience building and shipping full-stack web products with React/Next.js and backend systems.
  • Comfort with relational databases, API design, and AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure.
  • Product judgment: you can clarify an ambiguous need, find a small useful first release, and iterate from real feedback.
  • A high bar for readable code, thoughtful testing, reliability, and the details that make software feel polished.
  • Interest in mobile/iOS, AI or voice-enabled workflows, integrations, and the challenges of healthcare software.
  • San Francisco Bay Area based is ideal; we expect close, in-person founder collaboration as the company establishes its team in San Francisco.

A strong fit

You are a senior-level generalist who likes both technical depth and product context. You want meaningful influence over architecture and direction, can move independently without losing collaborators, and care about solving practical problems for small healthcare practices.

Compensation and timing

When the role is funded, we expect to offer competitive early-stage San Francisco startup compensation with meaningful equity. Compensation and start timing will depend on funding or revenue, experience, and the role’s scope when we are ready to hire.
