Export your client list
In SimplePractice, open Analytics → Reports, pick the Client details report, and export it as CSV.

Upload it as it is
In PracticeLite, open Data Import → Clients and upload the file. Columns like First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone and Client ID are recognized, so there’s nothing to rename.

Move your schedule and cancel
Set up your appointment types, add upcoming sessions (or import them from CSV), invite clients to the portal, then cancel SimplePractice.

Questions about switching
How much did SimplePractice raise its prices?
On March 3, 2025, SimplePractice moved existing accounts to new plans. Starter went from $29 to $49 per month per clinician, and the other plans are now $79 (Essential) and $99 (Plus). Additional clinicians on Plus are $74 per month each.
How do I move my clients from SimplePractice?
In SimplePractice, open Analytics, then Reports, choose the Client details report, and export it as CSV. In PracticeLite, go to Data Import, choose Clients, and upload that file as it is. We recognize the usual column names (First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, Client ID), so there is nothing to rename.
Can I bring my appointments, invoices and notes too?
PracticeLite can import appointments, invoices, payments and notes from CSV files. Exports differ between systems, so if a file does not upload cleanly, email it to us and we will help you map it. Keep SimplePractice’s complete data export (PDFs of your records) for your files as well.
Can I run both while I switch?
Yes. Start on PracticeLite’s Free plan (up to 5 active clients), import your clients, and move your schedule over before you cancel SimplePractice. Upgrade to Practice when you are ready for unlimited clients.
Does PracticeLite do insurance billing?
Yes, as a $19/month add-on to Practice or Practice Pro: real-time eligibility checks, claims built from your visits, claim status and payments, and denials and appeals. 50 claims and 50 eligibility checks a month are included.
Is there a contract or setup fee?
No. Monthly plans, no setup fee, cancel anytime.
